Mirtoviski stream

Mirtoviški potok (stream) flows from below Krempa and has two springs. The Modri poh spring is rich with waterfalls, pools, tubs and gutters. The stream used to drive mills and sawmills, but today it drives a small hydroelectric power plant downstream.

Mirtoviški potok (stream) is famous for its uniqueness, immensely wealth and diverse biodiversity. It is also the last otter refuge in Slovenia, and it is also home to crabs, which prove that the water is extremely clean. The forest is the home of the bears, so children can take a breather and be a little louder and together you can also sing a song.

The valley of Mirtoviški potok (stream) is full of rapids all the way to the beautiful spring, where there is a mighty gorge with a cave. The gorge of Mirtoviški stream is one of the few preserved areas of natural heritage. The stream in the middle stream is full of islands, meanders, dunes, gravels and pools. The karst spring gives an exceptional nature conservation significance to the stream.
